Tim Sparks, Chief Executive Officer

Tim Sparks brings over 28 years of experience in sales, marketing, product management, consulting and executive management while working at and with startup companies and large multinational companies in the technology, oil and gas, trading and consulting fields. Prior to co-founding CLM Matrix, Tim was the president of 4111 Group, a firm specializing in business execution and strategy where he was responsible for client acquisition and partner strategy engagements with Fortune 1000 organizations. Previously, Mr. Sparks worked for 17 years at Koch Industries, the largest privately held company in the U.S., with over $125 billion in revenues. Tim served in a variety of leadership roles including: Worldwide Director of Human Resources; Managing Director of Koch's internal business execution consulting practice, the Market-based Management Capability; and General Manager of the Industrial Asphalt Division. Mr. Sparks serves on the Board of Advisors for the University of Oklahoma's Price College of Business, and previously on Board of the Charles Tandy American Enterprise Center at The Neeley School of Business, Texas Christian University.
 
Tim is responsible for the company’s overall go-to-market strategy including relationships with partners, investors and analysts.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Oklahoma and has completed Executive Education at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

 

Bill Pugh, President

Bill Pugh brings 25 years of cross-industry process automation experience and best practices knowledge to the CLM Matrix team.  Prior to co-founding CLM Matrix, Bill worked at AscendantTSG, a process automation consulting firm he co-founded and served as CEO. For 12 years at TSG he focused on designing collaborative line-of-business solutions for process automation in both the Microsoft and IBM technology environments. His accomplishments included helping TSG become part of the original Microsoft Joint Development Program for Collaborative Solutions and developing partnerships with Microsoft's Business Productivity Solutions Group and Office System teams. On the product side, Bill directed design of the MethodSoft workflow framework engine helping turn it into the "Global Collaboration Solution of the Year", in addition to eight other distinguished Microsoft and IBM Software technology awards. Bill recently held a select seat for four years on the Microsoft Collaborative Solutions & Portals Partner Advisory Council. Bill stays very involved with local charitable foundations and currently sits on the Advisory Board for the Houston chapter of Young Audiences.

At CLM Matrix, Bill is responsible for overall product design and delivery strategy and works closely with the rest of the senior management team and CLM Matrix customers in identifying and defining future product functionality and deployment enhancements.

Bill holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas Tech University.

 

David Montgomery, Vice President - Solution Architecture

David Montgomery brings over 30 years of experience to the CLM Matrix team as a successful solution architect and program manager of complex software systems. Mr. Montgomery began his career at Harris Corporation where he spent eight years executing large-scale government system contracts, serving significant roles such as Chief Engineer and Project Manager on multimillion dollar enterprise implementations. By designing and building solutions that assist and automate labor intensive activities, his system designs have significantly improved business process workflows and have promoted the saving of up to 90% of the original cost and time budgets. In his career, David has created and delivered innovative operational systems for major clients such as US Government, Schlumberger, British Petroleum, Western Atlas, Deloitte, Compaq, and BMC Software.

David holds a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Indiana University, and a Masters Degree in Computer Science from Purdue University.
 
 

Mark Jones, Vice President - Solution Development

Mark Jones has spent the last 20 years developing software solutions for major clients such as Tandem Computer, Sterling Chemical, Fleetwood Corporation, BMC Software, and many others. Mr. Jones' direct involvement in the development of MethodSoft™ enabled it to win Best Solution of the Year 2001 at the Microsoft® Exchange Conference as well as Best Solution by a Partner and Most Innovative Use of Workflow. He's sat on Microsoft's® Partner Advisory Committee and has spoken at the Microsoft® Exchange and Collaboration Solutions Conferences.
 
Mark currently leads the CLM Matrix development team to enhance the current solution offering and coordinates our product roadmap and release schedules.

Mark holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Texas A&M University.
 
 

Steve Chunn, Vice President - Business Development

Steve is a seasoned sales and product management professional with over 30 years experience in contract lifecycle management and software development.  Mr. Chunn began his career as a software developer.  While at Hummingbird, Steve played a key role in the development and marketing of their contract management technology.  Upon OpenText's acquisition of Hummingbird, Steve assumed product management responsibility for the company's contract management activities.  At CLM Matrix, Steve plays a key role in product innovation working closely with CLM Matrix R&D to prioritize key feature/function initiatives.  Steve is also a key leader in CLM Matrix sales and marketing activities.
 
 

Edward Pecelli, Director of Professional Services 

Edward is responsible for global client implementations of Matrix Enterprise and Matrix FastTrack products.  In this role he also is responsible for design and refinement of all Matrix implementation tools and best practices.  His experience includes Enterprise Content Management analysis, process policy enforcement and standardization, organizational needs assessment, and change management best practices. Prior to joining CLM Matrix, Edward was a Senior Business Consultant with Canon Technology Solutions (CTS) where he led numerous Enterprise Content Management initiatives and projects with customers across diverse industries and all market sizes.  In addition, Edward was Vice President, Sales and Marketing at HTK, a Philadelphia-based Insurance Company broker-dealer, where he led numerous teams charged with launching new products, services and support initiatives. 
 
Edward is a professional member of AIIM – The Enterprise Content Management Association.  He has been a speaker at national meetings of the Financial Services industry. He holds a Bachelors Degree in International Commerce and Finance from Georgetown University, a Masters Degree  in Finance from Drexel University, and holds the CompTIA CDIA+ certification as a Certified Document Imaging Architech.
 
 

Jeremy Aber, Senior Legal Advisor

Jeremy Aber has over 20 years experience as a software and contracts attorney. He is a big supporter of improving the contracting process for companies (removing inefficiencies, implementing standardization, inspiring attorneys to simplify, and championing automation). Before forming Aber Law Firm, Jeremy worked for OpenView Venture Partners (software venture capital firm) as General Counsel/Legal Principal; ScriptLogic (desktop and server software tools company) as General Counsel; BMC Software (Fortune 500 enterprise software company) as Senior Legal Counsel/US Licensing, and Mayer Brown (global law firm) as a Corporate and Finance attorney.
 
Jeremy received his law degree from the University of Houston Law Center, where he graduated cum laude and served as an Associate Editor to the Houston Law Review.  Jeremy has a B.B.A in Accounting from The University of Texas, at Austin, and has passed all sections of the Certified Public Accountants' Examination.
 
Jeremy provides provocative thought leadership to CLM Matrix and its clients on how to drive more efficiency and transparency in contracting by using technology. In his law practice, he advises his clients on ways to simplify, standardize and streamline their contracts, which can have a meaningful positive impact on their business. He is a also frequent contributor to the CLM Matrix blog, his own blog, speaks at seminars on streamlining contracting, and serves as a lawyer reference for CLM Matrix clients.
